“Avengers” Stuntman and His 2 Children Dead in Georgia Tractor-Trailer Crash: Reports

Taraja Ramsess and his 13-year-old and eight-week-old daughters were killed in an accident that involved a stalled tractor-trailer, according to reports

A movie stuntman and two of his young children were killed in a two-vehicle accident late Tuesday night near Atlanta, according to multiple outlets.

Taraja Ramsess, 41, and his 13-year-old daughter Sundari and 8-week-old daughter Fugibo died in the crash that involved a tractor-trailer, per ABC affiliate WSB-TV.

Two other children were seriously injured, including Ramsess’ 10-year-old son Kisasi and his 3-year-old daughter, according to a GoFundMe campaign.

“He has five girls and one son. His son is on life support now,” Pharaoh Hardee told WSB-TV about his cousin, who appeared in Black Panther, Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War.

In a statement from the DeKalb County Police Department obtained by PEOPLE on Thursday, the injured juvenile victims are in critical condition.

First responders arrived on the scene shortly before midnight on Tuesday and found Ramsess’ Ford F-150 pickup had crashed into a disabled 18-wheeler on the exit ramp from I-285 onto I-20 eastbound, police said.

The two surviving passengers were thrown from the truck, WSB-TV reported.

The family members were on their way home on Halloween night when the accident occurred, NBC affiliate WXIA-TV reported.

As police continue to investigate the accident, friends and family members are mourning the tragic loss. A former colleague remembered the doting father, who was also a martial artist.

"Kind, caring, loving, thoughtful, respectful, exemplary person,” John Stephens told WXIA-TV about Ramsess, who he said steadily worked his way up in the industry from the art department to becoming a grip, a camera person, and then a stuntman.

He added, “Just one of the best people I've ever known. I'm gonna miss him, he's a big part of my life, my heart, my soul. I'm gonna miss him."
