‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ In Concert coming to Mahalia Jackson Theater

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — “Avatar: The Last Airbender” In Concert is making its way to New Orleans this October.
According to a news release, fans of the Nickelodeon animated series will get to experience a two-hour special of the show on a cinema screen with the musical score performed by a live orchestra.

The release states viewers will be able to experience “the series’ most memorable moments with Aang, Katara, Toph, Sokka, Zuko and more.”
The concert will also include highlights and fan-favorite moments from the show’s run.
According to the release, the writer of the original music for the show worked with the show’s co-creators and editor to expand the original compositions for the live concert.

The tour will kick off in Los Angeles in September and make a stop at New Orleans’ Mahalia Jackson Theater on Oct. 1.
