Kendrick Lamar plays 30-minute set after delay at ACL Fest
As we reported, Kendrick Lamar went on at 9:46 p.m., more than an hour past the scheduled 8:40 p.m. start time for his Friday headlining set at the Austin City Limits Music Festival. Music writer Deborah Sengupta Stith reports that he said "they're just going to have to shut off his mic," which happened around 10:15 p.m. ACL Fest has a 10 p.m. sound curfew. The crowd chanted to his hit “We Gon’ Be Alright,” Lamar bowed to the crowd and left the stage. The set was over by 10:17 p.m.

Kendrick Lamar's delayed headlining set starts at ACL Fest
Music writer Deborah Sengupta Stith is on the ground at Zilker Park. She says the stage lights went on around 9:40 p.m. and Lamar's delayed set started at 9:46 p.m. No word yet on how long the abbreviated set will be.
ACL Fest announces 9:45 p.m. start for delayed Kendrick Lamar headlining set
A new message was shared on the American Express stage screen at ACL Fest on Friday night about 9:25 p.m.: "An abbreviated set by Kendrick Lamar will begin at 9:45."

Drone show goes on at Kendrick Lamar stage as set delay continues
Team Austin360 is on the ground and reports that a "very cool" drone show has started above the American Express stage where Kendrick Lamar was scheduled to go on at 8:40 p.m. No updates yet on when he might perform.

Friday night headliner Kendrick Lamar was scheduled to go on at 8:40 p.m. A little before 8 p.m. a message flashed on the giant screens at the American Express stage: "Due to plane issues, Kendrick Lamar's performance tonight will be delayed. Further updates to come."

What's Narcan?
For the first time in the festival’s history, naloxone, colloquially known as Narcan, will be readily accessible by attendees as a response to fentanyl overdoses becoming the leading cause of death among Americans aged 18 to 45.
The intranasal spray, which helps rapidly reverse opioid overdoses, will be provided by This Must Be The Place, a nonprofit that provides free Narcan to festival goers across the country, aiming to raise awareness and prevent accidental deaths by fentanyl and other opioids.

ACL Sweets: A whole new area just for desserts
Those looking to satisfy their sweet tooth will find all of the dessert options at the festival in one location: ACL Sweets. The newly branded set up will be near the T-Mobile Stage and Austin Kiddie Limits.
Vendors include ACL Fest veterans Amy’s Ice Creams, GoodPop, Bananarchy, Sno-Beach, Tiff's Treats and Tiny Pies joined by newcomers Candy Cloud World, Holla Mode, JP’s Pancake Company, Mister Softee, and Picole.

What's new at ACL Fest this year?
For the first time ever, general admission bars throughout the park will be serving cocktails during the two-weekend festival.
Cocktails will be found at bars around the park, and there also will be two alcohol-specific activations.
ACL Fest gates are officially open
Que the "Star Wars" theme song. No, really. When gates open at noon Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, you'll hear a familiar John Williams tune thundering from the public address system.
Why? Short answer: "Because it's epic!"
