One of Augusta's most popular festivals is about to make its fall return.

Augusta Greek Festival will be back at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church on Telfair Street from Thursday through Sunday.

Families have been known to happily wait in line for a taste of the Greek delicacies from kota lathoregano (half of a baked chicken) and souvlaki to pastitsio, and tons of feta fries. Capping any meal are multiple desserts like chocolate baklava, pastes mickey and koke. There are also Greek wines — as well as water and sodas — to wash it down.

While dining, guests can enjoy live and DJ'ed Greek music as well as Greek dancing. Once full, they can walk it off while shopping for wooden carvings, unique jewelry, and other souvenirs.

Admission is free, but proceeds from the event will help Holy Trinity's ministry and community programs.

The festival is open 4-9 p.m. Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday-Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. For more information, go to holytrinityaugusta.org
