Auburn football lands commitment from 4-star RB J'Marion Burnette
AUBURN — Auburn football's 2024 recruiting class is now up to four members.
J'Marion "Phat" Burnette, a four-star running back from Andalusia High School in south Alabama, committed to the Tigers via social media Friday. He joins defensive backs A'Mon Lane and Jayden Lewis and quarterback Walker White as recruits in the class of 2024 that have pledged to play for coach Hugh Freeze.
The 6-foot-1, 225-pound Burnette is the No. 10 running back of his cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite, and is tabbed as the No. 158 prospect overall. He's also rated as the No. 8 recruit in the state.

Burnette's primary recruiter is running backs coach Cadillac Williams, who has now gotten a four-star RB to commit to Auburn in four of the past five classes. That list includes Tank Bigsby (2020), Damari Alston (2022), Jeremiah Cobb (2023) and Burnette (2024).
Bigsby is expected to be drafted into the NFL in April, Alston saw limited action as a freshman in 2022 and Cobb is set to arrive to campus ahead of fall camp.
Burnette has offers from nearly two dozen other programs. The SEC schools interested include Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Tennessee, according to 247Sports.
