Aubrey Plaza's Bizarro Nightmare Time Snags Pilot Order at TBS

Aubrey Plaza‘s latest TV venture sounds like a total nightmare.

The Parks and Rec alum will exec-produce and play herself in Nightmare Time, a scripted half-hour horror-comedy pilot for TBS that boasts the kookiest of loglines:

Set in Aubrey Plaza’s Nightmare Clinic, celebrity guests check in to overcome recurring nightmares. Thanks to advanced technology, we’re able to peer into their restless minds, and witness their nightmares in real time. But what is ‘real’ anyway? Maybe it’s all just a nightmare in Aubrey’s mind. One endless nightmare that could eventually destroy her and the entire world.

We warned you it was out-there.

Per TBS, every episode of the potential series would feature two “insane” nightmares inspired by “the horrors of modern society” as well as “tropes and touchstones of the horror genre.”

The pilot was penned by Plaza, Darcy Fowler, Kieran Valla, and Seth Kirschner.

Plaza will next be seen in FX’s upcoming Marvel series Legion.
