Aubrey O'Day Fires Shots at Diddy, MTV Over 'Making The Band' Reboot

Aubrey O'Day has some harsh words for Diddy and MTV for bringing back "Making The Band," saying "he needs to finish what he started" with Danity Kane.

The singer fired several shots at the man and network who created her band, warning them to grow some balls and bring the 2005 pop group back to reality TV.

When asked about the reboot news, O'Day said she's always grateful to see artists get an opportunity, but she feels strongly that a Danity Kane reunion will give MTV the ratings they need.

The group was formed on the OG show and both Diddy and MTV are credited for launching the careers of Shannon Bex, Dawn Richard, Aundrea Fimbres, D. Woods and Day.

"I’m happy when any new artist gets an opportunity to shine I do think MTV needs to bring back, along with "Making The Band," a Danity Kane show with our family that we created on the network," she stated.

As for her opinion on Diddy, O'Day doesn't hold back.

When asked if all five girls will come back -- Diddy announced their breakup years ago, but three of them have reunited with new music -- the singer yes.

"They will come back, but I think it would be really interesting to see Diddy repair what he broke on national television," she responds."I think it would be really interesting for him to show the world that he can full circle with redemption with all of us."

Adding, "He needs to finish what he started."

As far as why the band split, she points directly to Diddy.

"He’s the one that broke up the group," she said, adding there were many reasons that contributed but "the breakup came from his mouth.”

As The Blast reported, Diddy announced this week he's officially rebooting the reality show with MTV and has launched a global talent search.

The music mogul posted today that the iconic show was coming back, saying, “I’ve made my decision... #MakingTheBand is coming back!!! This will be a global talent search, upload your auditions now using #MTBcasting!”

The new season is scheduled to premiere in 2020, over a decade after the last “Making the Band” episode aired.
