ATX Beer Party looks to bond over booze with your favorite Austin breweries

A new promotion group is looking to bond over booze with a week of special community events in November.

ATX Beer Party, founded by industry veterans Jordan Golembeski, John Gross and Pam Catoe, will celebrate Launch Week Nov. 5-12. The group also plans to host events year-round, though they are yet to be announced.

"We hold Austin to a high standard of what we can do to celebrate our beer community," Gross said in a statement. "No 'meet the brewer' snooze fests, no 'keep the pint glass' blandness. Austin's better than that. ATX Beer Party is collaborating with our local beer heroes and supporting our favorite charities to boot."

Here's the lineup for Launch Week:

Nov. 5 - Taproom Social Bike Ride with Breakfast Club

Participants of this noon event will have the chance to join Austin biking group the Breakfast Club on a ride to several breweries, beginning and ending with Central Machine Works. Each brewery stop will offer special deals, and ATX Beer Party will host a raffle benefiting the Yellow Bike Project.

Free live music at Meanwhile Brewing will follow at 7:30 p.m. to celebrate the brewery's third anniversary. Money raised from the event will go to SAFE.

Nov. 6 - 90's Karaoke

Beginning at 7 p.m., Vacancy Brewing at 415 E St Elmo Road will host a night of karaoke with proceeds going to the Pink Boots Society.

Nov. 8 - Creative Beer Mash

According to a press release, this 7 p.m. event at Austin Beerworks will feature "some of the most creative and innovative people in Central Texas to showcase a snapshot of the movers and shakers who work beyond the brewery to make your favorite beers extra iconic."

Guest speakers will include Lauren Dickens of Hold Out Brewing, Keith Davis Young of St. Elmo Brewing, Marshall Thompson of CanWorks and Tyler Hood of Austin Beerworks.

Ticket sales from this event will go toward AIGA Austin.

Nov. 9 - Old School Austin Bottle Share

Attendees can enjoy a blast from the beer past at WhichCraft Bottle Shop from 6-8 p.m.

DJ Gross Yall will play throwback hits at this free event, and "the Texas Craft Brewers Guild will be on-site bringing treasures from their cellar and raising funds for the advancement of independent beer brewed in the Lone Star state," according to a press release.

Nov. 11 - East West Beer Fest

This ticketed, third annual event features 10 breweries from both the east and west coasts from noon to 5 p.m. at Turnstile Coffee Beer Spirits on 10025 Burnet Road. Proceeds go toward the Wounded Warriors Project.

Nov. 12 - Queer Country Hangover Brunch

The last event of ATX Beer Party's Launch Week is a brunch at Hold Out Brewing from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. DJ Boi Orbison will lead this country celebration, which benefits Equality Texas.
