Attorney Says New Information Could Prove Death Row Inmate Richard Glossip Is Innocent

Death row inmate Richard Glossip was convicted of first-degree murder in 1998. The 58-year-old former motel manager was accused of soliciting his then co-worker, Justin Sneed, to kill their boss, Barry Van Treese, in 1997. He has maintained his innocence from the beginning. “As I began to investigate the case, we ended up finding some new witnesses,” says Don Knight. He has been Richard Glossip’s attorney for the past six years. He says that there was no physical evidence connecting Glossip to Barry Van Treese’s murder. Glossip has been granted a stay of execution on three separate occasions. His last stay of execution was in 2015 due to concerns about the state of Oklahoma's lethal injection protocol. Knight says there’s critical new information that could prove his client innocent - but time is running out. Watch more in the video above.
