Attorney Who Helped Take Down Bill O’Reilly Says Protege Jesse Watters ‘Should Be Next’

Jesse Watters, Bill O’Reilly‘s protégé who recently got promoted to the 9 p.m. slot on Fox News’ “The Five,” has been put on notice by the attorney who took down his mentor.

The Fox News host is in hot water after making a seemingly lewd comment and gesture about Ivanka Trump on his show.

“We all saw your hand to mouth gesture on the video,” attorney Lisa Bloom tweeted Wednesday. “We’re watching how you demean women. We brought O’Reilly down. Maybe you should be next.”

Bloom, who is the daughter of famed civil rights attorney Gloria Allred, was responding to Watters’ tweet, in which he insisted that “on air I was referring to Ivanka’s voice and how it resonates like a smooth jazz radio DJ. This was in no way a joke about anything else.”

During Tuesday’s episode of “The Five,” Watters was defending Ivanka, who was jeered in Berlin for claiming her father was a champion for women. Watters argued that those who booed were being hypocritical.

“It’s funny, the left says they really respect women, and then when given an opportunity to respect a woman like that, they boo and hiss,” Watters said.

He then added one more thought: “I don’t really get what’s going on here, but I really liked how she was speaking into that microphone.”

The comment came complete with a hand gesture that some, including Bloom, believed to be sexual innuendo.

MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski tweeted: “FOX, clean it up. Microphone comments? Comments on hosts dresses? Get rid of those who cannot measure up. #enough #stepup #blatant #shame“

“In retrospect, took real chutzpah to commit to a respectful workplace environment and promote Jesse Watters to primetime on the same day…” said CNN’s Dylan Byers.

This isn’t the first time Watters has been under fire for comments he’s made on the air. Back in October, the Fox News host was slammed for what many believed was a racist segment set in New York City’s Chinatown.
