Five new plaques honoring the 2023 Athens Music Walk of Fame inductees were installed Tuesday in downtown Athens, bringing the total of guitar pick-shaped sidewalk markers to 25. The members of year's incoming class were announced during the AthFest Music & Arts Festival in June.

According to a map provided by Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services, "Pink” Morton and Calvin Orlando Smith's plaques will join 2022 inductee Tituss Burgess' plaque outside of the Morton Theater at 195 W. Washington St. The marker for WUOG FM can be found nearby on North Hull Street. Jackie Payne's is on West Clayton Street near the Georgia Theatre, and the Normaltown Flyers' is further down West Clayton across the street from the plaque for Lo Down & Duddy.

The Athens Music Walk of Fame is funded by the Athens Cultural Affairs Commission and supported by community partnerships including the Athens Downtown Development Authority, the Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Arts Division and the Athens-Clarke County Transportation and Public Works Streets & Drainage Division.
