Asia to perform at the Mobile Saenger Theatre in July

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Supergroup “Asia” is making its way to the Port City in July, according to the Saenger Theatre.

Asia was formed in 1982 by John Wetton, Geoff Downes, Carl Palmer and Steve Howe.

According to a release from Saenger Theatre, Asia is responsible for “a string of multi-million selling albums and chart topping hits across the globe.”

Some of the band’s most popular work includes “Heat Of The Moment,” “Only Time Will Tell” and “Soul Survivor.”

The members reformed in 2006 and released multiple new albums before Wetton died in 2017. After Wetton passed, Downes and Palmer continued their music career and toured with Sam Coulson, Billy Sherwood, Ron Bumblefoot Thal with guest appearances from Howe.

The concert will be held on July 26 at 7 p.m. with tickets going on sale on Friday, April 26, at 10 a.m. Tickets start at $39.50.
