Ashley Graham stopped home for the best kind of R&R.

Amid a busy work schedule, the model mom, 35, stopped home to spend some quality time with her sons, twins Malachi and Roman, 2, and Isaac Menelik Giovanni, 3, all three of whom she shares with husband Justin Ervin.

"Came home for a quick recharge 🤍 now off to Paris!" she captioned the group of shots, which show her cuddling and playing with her boys at home.

While speaking with PEOPLE at the launch of Eva Chen’s new kidswear collaboration with H&M in New York City earlier this month, the mom of three recalled a moment she recently "started to spiral" when her flight was canceled from Los Angeles back to New York City.

“It was a journey getting home from L.A. and it took way longer than it should have,” she said. “My flight kept on getting delayed and delayed and then eventually, canceled.”

Graham said that while everyone in her family kept “cool, calm and collected” throughout the travel disaster, she "started to spiral."

“I started crying. I knew I only had one day to see [my kids]. And as a mom, when you're planning out your time to see your children, every minute matters.”

Though Graham was supposed to attend the U.S. Open when she returned home, she said she ended up canceling her plans to stay home with her family. “It's little tiny sacrifices you make,” she said. “I would've loved to have seen Coco [Gauff] win in person, but we can always watch on TV."

Earlier this summer, Graham told PEOPLE at the Clase Azul National Tequila Day Dinner that mom life came with "frequent breakdowns."

"I mean, the idea of balance, I wish it existed. What I do is I have these in-depth conversations with myself and my husband about — I have set up my kids so that when I'm home, I'm home and I'm locked in," she shared.

It's important for the busy mom to know that while she is out and about working, "they're being taken care of and that they're in the best hands."

"And that's all I can do because I would go crazy if I didn't have a purpose outside of that and for myself," she shared. "My mom would stay-at-home mom, and we were her purpose and she loved it. And I'm so grateful that she spent all that time with us. But for me, I waited to have kids on purpose because my career really meant something for me, and I'm glad I did."
