Ashleigh Brewer, as previously reported, is coming back to Bold and the Beautiful as Ivy Forrester. Soap Hub caught up with the actress on the B&B set during a press event to celebrate the show’s 12 Daytime Emmy nominations.

The Walls of Ivy

Brewer made headlines prior to her announced return to B&B when she shared on social media that she is engaged! “Thanks so much,” Brewer tells Soap Hub, adding that she and her fiancé met through a very close friend of theirs, Australian actress Phoebe Tonkin (H₂O: Just Add Water).

“I’ve known [Phoebe] since I was very young,” Brewer says. “Mark [Bauch, a film producer] and I are mutual friends of hers. She had wanted to set us up for a long time. The stars collided and then, it finally happened. I’m very happy and healthy.”

B&B’s keeping mum on what Ivy’s return entails. However, it’s no secret that her former beau Liam (Daytime Emmy nominee Scott Clifton) is going through a crossroads in his life in that both of the women he has loved in the past — Hope (Annika Noelle) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) — are, respectively, unavailable to him (right now) and happily wed.

Conflict at Forrester Creations and the return of Steffy put the kibosh on Liam and Ivy’s relationship but the two hardly parted on bitter terms. Who knows you better than an ex-flame? Perhaps Ivy will give Liam some much needed perspective.

“I haven’t been here for years and even I still get emotional when people here talk about being a family,” she says. “It does feel like coming home.”

No word yet on how long Brewer will be sticking around but she was at a press event celebrating B&B’s 12 Daytime Emmy nominations including a nod for Outstanding Drama Series. Also, Neighbours is up for that same award (learn about that show by clicking here) as the Australian soap opera is available on Amazon Freevee.

“How amazing!” Ashleigh Brewer replied when asked about the show from her native continent. “Bold is nominated and Neighbours is nominated. I’m happy for them. They’ve won so many Logies, which is the Australian equivalent of the Daytime Emmy.”
