According to Jermaine Dupri, Nelly and Ashanti have a new collab coming with Juicy J. The newly rekindled couple joined JD in the studio, where he broke the news to the public.

On Tuesday (Nov. 28), the So So Def boss posted an Instagram video showing him debating the rules of the jumprope game “Double Dutch” with the pair. He then announced that the three of them have been working on a single with the Three 6 Mafia artist.

“Although we talking bout double Dutch, this a NEW RECORD ALERT !!” he wrote. “Got @nelly @ashanti & @juicyj on the way !!”

Nelly and Ashanti haven’t released a track together since their 2008 hit, “Body On Me.” The two reunited on stage back in August at the Illionis State Fair to perform the track.

The pair has been beaming from ear to ear since publicizing their relationship again. At the “Hot In Herre” rapper’s 49th birthday party this year, Ashanti danced and sang along to her hit song “Baby” as Nelly enthusiastically ad-libbed vocals.

Ashanti also surprised her beau with his childhood dream car: a vintage blue low rider, as close friends and family praised the gesture. Nelly lit up with excitement as the “Happy” star danced and kissed him, before hopping in the car, too. See below.

The couple revisited a romantic relationship this year after first dating back in 2003. Rumors of the reconciliation began after the two artists were spotted together several times within a few months.

In May, the two showed up together at the 3rd Annual Birthday Ball for Quality Control CEO Pierre “P” Thomas at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta. The following month, Ashanti brought Nelly out on stage during her Las Vegas show to perform “Body On Me.” The pair was also spotted at the Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia boxing match in Las Vegas holding hands.

In September of this year, Nelly confirmed their relationship during an episode of Boss Moves with Rasheeda.

“I think it surprised both of us,” he said at the time. “We both were pretty much doing what we do. But sometimes being separate, you understand one another more. You could be like, ‘Well yo, let me exactly see maybe what they see.’ We all can be defensive sometimes in our own relationships. We know we wrong but we going to stand on it, you know what I mean? But we all a victim to that.”

Ashanti also attended the 2023 MTV VMAs in the same night, wearing a personalized clutch with Nelly’s face on it.

“We are in a great space,” the Grammy winner told PEOPLE on the carpet. “Everything is positive. We having a lot of fun.”
