Ash Wednesday 2024: Attend a church service near you in Corpus Christi

Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the 40-day Lenten season in the Christian calendar, is on Wednesday. Feb. 14 in 2024. These Corpus Christi churches will offer Mass, confession or other religious services in observance of the holy day.

Ashes to go

Four churches in Corpus Christi continue the tradition of offering drive-through "Ashes to Go," where worshipers can remain in their cars.

  • All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 3026 S. Staples St., from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

  • Island Presbyterian Church, 14030 Fortuna Bay Drive, from 7-9 a.m.

  • St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 13026 Leopard St., from 8-10 a.m. and 4-6 p.m.

  • St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church will offer Ashes to Go in the former Sunrise Mall parking lot, Airline Road side of lot, 5858 S. Padre Island Drive from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
