ASAP Rocky's Former Friend ASAP Bari Sued for Allegedly Sexual Assaulting a Woman

ASAP Bari Sued for Alleged Sexual Assault

In court documents obtained by PEOPLE, a woman identified only as Jane Doe is suing Bari, 25, for more than $1 million for an incident that allegedly took place on July 9 in a London hotel where some of the ASAP Mob members were staying.

In the documents filed Thursday, the woman claims Bari — whose real name is Jabari Shelton — burst into the hotel room while she was sleeping and began yelling, “You f—ed my assistant, now you are going to f— with me.”

PEOPLE reached out to Bari’s representative for comment on the suit but did not immediately receive a response.

In the documents, the woman claims when she began to scream “no,” the ASAP Mob co-founder pulled the sheet off of the bed leaving her naked in front of Bari and about 10 other men in the room who were allegedly affiliated with the collective. These men were unidentified in the court documents and referred to as Does 1-10.

The woman claims she ran into the hotel bathroom and attempted to close the door, but found she could not as the singer was physically blocking it.

She claims he pushed his way into the bathroom and proceeded to sexually assault and batter her.

The woman alleges the other men witnessed and recorded the incident. She says Bari let her go when she yelled for him to stop, and alleges he threw her naked into the hallway. She claims she hid in a stairwell and later reported the alleged attack to the hotel manager and asked him to call the police.

The woman claims she believes Bari attacked her because she had rejected his advances earlier that weekend. She claims he approached her and asked, “Can I f— the shit out of you?” which she refused.

According to Billboard, Nike ended its relationship with the singer at the end of July, having previously collaborated with him on several VLONE Air Force 1 sneakers and a pop-up shop.
