Artsfest ready to return for its 56th year in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM)– Harrisburg’s Artsfest will be back for its 56th year this Memorial Day weekend.

There will 150 artists and other vendors along with food trucks and live music. It runs from Saturday until Monday night at 7 p.m.

Artists and city officials previewed the event in Riverfront Park Tuesday.

“Artsfest is the Harrisburg’s crown, this is our Super Bowl, we have artists come from all over the country and families from throughout the state,” Mayor Wanda Williams said.

There will be a community art project. A booth will have hundreds of unpainted ceramic fish. There’s no cost to paint one of the fish, it’s first come first served until all 450 are gone.

Then they’ll be installed on a wall at the playground on City Island.
