Arts council serves up dinner ... and a murder mystery

Oct. 26—HIGH POINT — Now here's a show to die for.

The High Point Arts Council is hosting a murder mystery dinner theater production called "Drop Dead Disco: Blood on the Dance Floor," at which guests can enjoy a meal while trying to solve a murder. The show will be presented Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at Centennial Station Arts Center, 121 S. Centennial St.

Doors will open at 6 p.m.

The mystery is set at the Drop Dead Disco, a 1970s discotheque that's hosting a disco dance competition. Your job is to pay attention and figure out which one is a murderer. Guests are encouraged to get in the Halloween spirit and come wearing your most dazzling '70s disco attire.

The cast of local actors includes David Pittman as Hugo Grommet, Dequan Jones as Cotton/Paulie Blend, Courtney Lowe as Esther Blend, Taronza Graves as Donna O'Shae, Paris White as Stevie Awesome, and Mike Lasley as Johnny Fever.

Tickets are $55 apiece and can be purchased online by visiting etix.com and searching for "Drop Dead Disco."
