Artists take to the street during Blissfield's Art at Your Feet festival
BLISSFIELD — Artists of all ages, styles and abilities flocked to downtown Blissfield Saturday morning and afternoon where they transformed the first block of South Lane Street into a canvas of colorful art and imagery.
The 15th edition of Art at Your Feet, Blissfield’s annual summer street art festival, took place Saturday as presented by the Schultz-Holmes Memorial Library. The no-cost public chalk art event, sponsored by Chris Mallow, DDS/Blissfield Family Dentistry and Transcend Physical Therapy, allowed registered participants to take art “Out of your mind and onto the street.”
Cash prizes were awarded at the conclusion of the event to the top three pieces of artwork, as determined by judges representing the library. The first-place winning artwork went to Peg Whiting, followed by Nicole Phillips in second and Reese Forche in third.
