An Art Exhibit Inspired by ‘The Life of Pablo’ Is Coming to New York City Soon

Ever since Kanye West released his latest album The Life of Pablo in a rather unconventional way, it has inspired many of his fans to be more creative. In the past few months, we’ve seen Kyoto-based producer TOYOMU make his own version of TLOP, comedians Aziz Ansari and Eric Wareheim shoot their own video for “Famous,” as well as fan-made vinyl copies of TLOP.
The creativity inspired by Kanye’s latest album hasn’t stopped yet. The latest TLOP-inspired creation is an art exhibit. One of his biggest fans, Brianni Taylor will be coordinating and curating the event that is set to take place in New York City next month. “I’ve always wanted to curate an art exhibit that was meaningful to me,” Taylor told Complex. “Overall I am a HUGE fan of Kanye West. I was anticipating his album every day […] once he dropped The Life Of Pablo, and I heard ‘Ultra Light Beam,’ in my mind I was like, ‘This guy is a genius.'”
The exhibit will feature artwork in various mediums from about 15 different artists, as well as music by DJ Q. Shepard. Attendees will also be able to indulge in Kanye-inspired snacks and treats as they enjoy the surrounding artwork. Lexy’s Cupcake Bar and Mikey Likes It Ice Cream will provide the edible goodies, while Taylor has also set up an open bar and raffles for the evening to complete this special occasion.
The Life of Pablo art exhibit will take place on May 19 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Avant Garde by MMC, located on 319 Grand St. This special event will also serve as a fundraiser for The Kids League, a foundation that creates development workshops for children in low-income neighborhoods.
