Arrow concluded its eighth season in January 2020 and since then fans have been wondering about a ninth season and whether or not they will see Stephen Amell pick up his bow and arrow again to reprise his role of Oliver Queen. This curiosity only grew further when Stephen Amell reprised his role in the ninth season of The Flash.

Is there an Arrow Season 9 release date?

Unfortunately for fans hoping to see Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen again, Arrow Season 9 does not have a release date as it will not be happening. The CW confirmed that Arrow has ended its television run after eight seasons.

The CW will not pick up Arrow for another season as the ratings for the show had declined considerably by the time Arrow reached its eighth and final season. Moreover, Oliver Queen, the main protagonist of Arrow is currently dead in the main Arrowverse storyline. As such, his story is completed and there is no room to tell further stories with the character.

Where is Arrow Season 9 coming out?

Arrow Season 9 will not be released on The CW.

The official synopsis for Arrow reads:

“Spoiled billionaire playboy Oliver Queen is missing and presumed dead when his yacht is lost at sea. He returns five years later a changed man, determined to clean up the city as a hooded vigilante armed with a bow.”
