Armie Hammer, Elizabeth Chambers announce split after 10 years of marriage
Armie Hammer and his wife Elizabeth Chambers are calling it quits after 10 years of marriage.
The couple announced the news on Friday, sharing the same statement on their respective Instagram accounts along with an old photo of them smiling in a car.
In their statement, the former couple, who married in 2010, say they have spent "thirteen years as best friends, soulmates, partners and then parents."
"It has been an incredible journey, but together, we’ve decided to turn the page and move on from our marriage," they continued. "As we enter into this next chapter, our children and relationship as co-parents and dear friends will remain our priority."
Hammer, 33, and Chambers, 37, share two children, a 5-year-old daughter named Harper Grace and a 3-year-old son named Ford Douglas Armand.

They capped off their statement asking for privacy.
"We understand this news lends itself to public dialogue, but in the interest of our children and our family, we’re asking for privacy, compassion and love during this time," they wrote.
USA TODAY has reached out to Hammer's and Chambers' reps for further comment.
On May 25, Chambers celebrated her 10-year marriage anniversary to the "Call Me By Your Name" star, posting to Instagram a photo from their wedding and a photo of them with their children sitting on a beach and looking out at the ocean.

"TEN years married, twelve together, thirteen years as best friends," she wrote. "Happy Anniversary, my love. I’m beyond grateful for you, this decade, our family and the dreamiest Friday night anniversary sunset."
Prior to the announcement, the family appears to have been waiting out the coronavirus pandemic in the Cayman Islands, where Hammer spent part of his childhood, according to Chambers' Instagram.
Hammer and Chambers aren't the only celebrity couple to split in 2020. In May, Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green ended their 10-year marriage, and on June 2, Kelly Clarkson filed for divorce in Los Angeles to end her marriage to Brandon Blackstock.
