Armed Forces of Ukraine deny The Economists claim that the Ukrainian military have approached Kherson

Media information that Ukrainian forces are a kilometre away from the outskirts of Kherson is not true.

Details: Humeniuk has been asked about the information published in The Economist. The article states that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are already a kilometre away from Kherson. Humeniuk explained that not only is this information not true but it may also do harm to the military and civilians.

Quote: "Only the military may comment on their progress. Any analysts, deputies, or other active political or public figures only do harm by making such claims and revealing such information.

Firstly, this information is not true, secondly, it confuses our people, the locals. Such claims harm not only the military operation but the public image of those who make them as well."

At the same time Humeniuk stated that the Ukrainian forces in the South of Ukraine are "moving slowly but confidently" and require media silence for continuing the operation.
