The arm and torso of a Milwaukee teen who was dismembered and killed earlier this month are thought to have been found on the shore of Lake Michigan.

A citizen walking a remote tree-lined beach near 3305 Marina Road discovered the remains at 7:37 a.m. local time on Thursday, April 18, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office.

Police say the body parts are believed to be those of Sade Carleena Robinson, a 19-year-old woman who was last seen in Milwaukee on Monday, April 1. Her body parts have since been found scattered around Milwaukee and another nearby municipality, authorities said in an April 12 statement.

Maxwell S. Anderson, 33, was arrested shortly after the discovery of the body parts and has been charged with first-degree homicide, mutilation of a corpse and arson.

On April 18, the sheriff's office noted that the torso and arm believed to belong to the victim were found "nearly a quarter mile from an apartment complex," and added that it had already scheduled a "sonar detection boat" to search the lake for additional remains or evidence.

"The investigation into Robinson's death is ongoing," MCSO wrote in the release.

Authorities first notified the public about Robinson's disappearance on April 4 when they issued a “critical missing” warning. Police were then notified about a car fire near her home the following day and found it belonged to the missing woman, per a criminal complaint obtained by Wisconsin Public Radio.

On April 5, a human leg was discovered in Cudahy, a municipality less than 10 miles from Milwaukee and Anderson was taken into custody the same day.

Investigators also found another body part near the scene of the car fire, per the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, and additional remains the following weekend.

The MCSO alleges that Anderson killed Robinson then “mutilated her remains, and set fire to her car in an attempt to obscure potential evidence of the killing." The two went on their first date on April 1, per a criminal complaint obtained by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and FOX 6 Now.

FOX 6 Now reports that they had a “casual conversation, before leaving together," a bartender told the outlet. They reportedly went to a bar before heading to Anderson's home.

Police allegedly discovered blood throughout different areas of Anderson's home during a search, per the complaint cited by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Anderson's preliminary court hearing is scheduled for April 22, per court docs shared on the Milwaukee County sheriff's website.

GoFundMe for Robinson's family, and for funeral services, has since raised over $53,000 of an initial $30,000 goal.

"The pain of losing Sade has left a void in the hearts of her family, especially her grieving mother and little sister, along with other relatives, friends, and the entire community who loved and supported her," the fundraiser reads.

"As we come together to honor Sade's memory, we aim to provide her with the dignified farewell she deserves."
