Arkansas defensive lineman Solomon Wright has entered the transfer portal after one season with the Razorbacks.

Wright, a freshman, did not play this year for Arkansas after signing as part of the 2021 class. He was a three-star recruit out of Vian, Oklahoma who chose Arkansas over Texas Tech, Iowa State and Oklahoma State, among others.

At 6-foot-0 and 295 pounds, Wright was projected to play 3-technique defensive tackle in college. John Ridgeway, Markell Utsey, Taurean Carter and Isaiah Nichols handled a bulk of the interior line play this year for Arkansas.

Wright is the son of former NFL linebacker Kenyatta Wright, who played with the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills from 2000-2005. The elder Wright was a four-year starter at Oklahoma State before his professional career.

Arkansas has lost four players to the transfer portal since the beginning of the season, including running back and track-and-field sprinter Josh Oglesby
