Ariel Winter quits Twitter after invasive paparazzi incident

Ariel Winter is over the pitfalls of fame. The Modern Family star deleted her Twitter account this week after going off about the paparazzi.

“If a paparazzi attempts to take another f***ing picture in front of my house one more time I swear to god I will find ANY SORT of legal action,” she wrote on Tuesday afternoon.

What happened is unclear, but it was enough to really irk the 20-year-old actress.

Winter added, “Sad when you literally enjoy your job but hate every part of the fame aspect. Also sad when you desperately want to move somewhere remote so you can just live a normal life in peace. I can’t speak for anyone else, but I hate being followed and I hate my s*** out in the news.”

She ended with the waving-hand emoji, telling her followers bye before quitting Twitter.

Winter certainly has had her fair share of s*** out in the news. There’s the fact that her estranged mom gives interviews to tabloids — and that her family drama had to play out in front of the world in the first place. Her wardrobe choices make headlines … like a shirt she wore to the gym this week that said, “Keep calm and eat a bag of d****.” Then there are those pervs on Instagram. It’s no wonder, really, that she’s getting over the whole thing.

On Tuesday, Winter wrote on her Instagram Story that she’s “in the process of deleting all social media.” Luckily for fans wondering how she celebrated July 4, she hasn’t scrapped Instagram just yet. She posted a series of photos from a party she attended with her 30-year-old boyfriend, Levi Meaden, in Malibu.

Maybe she’ll give the Twitter thing another shot.
