Arianna Huffington and William H. Macy Barely Remember Infamous ’70s Nightclub

On The Late Show, Stephen Colbert celebrated New York City History Month (which he made up) by taking a look back at an iconic ’70s nightclub, Bubble (also made up). Paul F. Tompkins played the owner of the infamous nightclub, known for the massive amounts of toxic foam that filled the club every night.

Arianna Huffington described it as a place where intellectuals could gather, adding, “In the same night you could have a drink with Gore Vidal, argue with Norman Mailer, and then help resuscitate Mr. T.”

William H. Macy had a hard time remembering any specifics, but the Shameless star recalled, “One time I blacked out in ’94, and when I came to I was accepting an Independent Spirit Award for Fargo.”

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on CBS.
