After Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules, Ariana Madix is focused on moving forward. With production on the show paused for the summer, she has other things to focus on. Some of her costars can’t say the same.

Sources close to the show say that it will return for Season 12, but it’s unclear who will be a part of the cast. Regardless of what happens next on Bravo, Ariana has plenty of other stuff going on in her life. She has a new job on Love Island, plus she got booked to reprise her role as Roxie Hart in Chicago. It’s a lot, and she recently spoke to E! News about where her priorities lie. Here’s a hint: it isn’t VPR.

Ariana’s priorities are in order

According to Ariana, now that VPR is on pause for the summer, she is fully committed to her job on Broadway. That’s a smart choice. Earlier this year, she led Chicago to its best non-holiday week ever. She just announced that she’d be returning to the role for a few more weeks this summer. Who needs reality TV when you Broadway is calling?

“Being on Broadway is my number one thing,” Ariana revealed. “I’m so proud of myself for being able to do that.”

Looking ahead to the future, Ariana said she “absolutely” sees herself outside of the reality TV world one day. She’s slowly inching towards that. In addition to her Broadway role, she appeared in a Lifetime movie and has been booked and busy with brand partnerships ranging from DSW to Uber. There’s also that sandwich shop that is supposedly opening any day now. Apparently, she’s enjoying every second of her new busy lifestyle, with or without the reality TV cameras.

“The one thing that I’ve learned about myself is that the busier I am, the more I feel I’m capable of handling,” Ariana said. “It’s those moments when I have too much downtime that I start to get antsy and feel like I need more.”

Cheers to that, Ariana. Vanderpump Rules airs on Bravo, Tuesday nights at 8/7c.
