Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney Confirm Something About Her Opening Date

The rumors were true! Something About Her finally has a grand opening date. It’s a day we didn’t think would ever come, but Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix confirmed the news during a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live. Get those appetites ready, because the Vanderpump Rules sandwich shop opens on May 22.

Something About Her is finally coming to life

During their appearance on WWHL, Katie and Ariana triumphantly announced the opening date. An insider close to them already spilled the tea, but this is the first time we’ve heard it from the ladies in charge. They’re reportedly planning a big launch party to coincide with WeHo Pride.

Notoriously, the sandwich shop has been in the discovery phase for what feels like forever. The two first started tinkering around the idea all the way back in Pump Rules Season 9. Once Scandoval elevated the friend group to a new level of celebrity status, it seemed like the perfect timing for them to capitalize on their newfound popularity. However, a myriad of issues delayed their opening.

First, it was an issue with their patio. Then, they blamed it on demands from the health department. The refrigeration wasn’t working. Every day it was something, and it seemed like the opening was never going to happen. Eventually, Katie had to reassure the world that they weren’t trying to scam their fans.

“If we could’ve opened six months ago, we absolutely would’ve. But, it’s been completely out of our hands. But we’re so excited. We’re hiring right now, and we’ll be training very soon. It’s right around the corner,” Katie teased earlier this month.

Hopefully, we’ll see Something About Her in all its glory in Season 12 of VPR. The show is taking a production pause over the summer, so the cameras probably won’t capture the grand opening. That just means when Season 12 returns, we expect to see that place operating like a well-oiled machine. They’ve had plenty of time to prepare.
