Ariana Grande Shares Pics From First Thanksgiving With Both Parents in 18 Years
Ariana Grande couldn't be more grateful for family this year!
The singer took to Instagram Stories on Thursday, sharing a series of pics and videos from her Thanksgiving festivities, in which her mother, Joan Grande, and father, Edward Butera, attended.
Ariana revealed in one of the posts that the get together marked the first time in 18 years that the singer spent the holiday with both of her parents. It appears the night featured plenty of dancing, some face paint and silly headwear.
Butera also shared a sweet black-and-white photo to his own account, captioning it, "No words can explain the joy."

Though Ariana has rarely shared pics and videos of her dad on social media in the past, he's made a few appearances over the past year. The Boca Raton, Florida, native revealed in a 2014 interview with Seventeen magazine that she and Edward fell out of touch a year prior.
“It’s private … It took me so long to be okay with it,” she said at the time. "The thing that got me there was embracing the fact that I am made up of half my dad, and a lot of my traits come from him. So much of me comes from my father and for so long, I didn’t like that about myself. I had to accept that it’s OK not to get along with somebody and still love them."
The two have seemingly patched up their relationship. In addition to pics surfacing on social media, Ariana also gave her dad a shout-out in "Thank U, Next" last year.
"One day I'll walk down the aisle, holding hands with my mama," she sings on the track. "I’ll be thanking my dad, 'cause she grew from the drama.”
Meanwhile, Ariana's brother, Frankie Grande, was celebrating the day with a trip to the movies to see Frozen II, followed by a night of singing holiday hits like Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You." Before eating dinner, he also filmed a video of himself and some friends belting out his sister's "God Is a Woman" at the table.
