Artists including Princess Nokia and Soulja Boy have come forward to accuse Ariana Grande of stealing her newest song "7 Rings." Following the release of the track, Princess Nokia took to Instagram to say, "Ain't that the little song I made about brown women and their hair? Hmm. Sounds about white."

Grande is now responding to an entirely separate controversy involving the lyrics to "7 Rings." Specifically, the line that says "You like...my hair? / Gee thanks, just bought it."

The singer shared a fan's post that read "White women talking about their weaves is how we're gonna solve racism," to her Instagram story (which has since been deleted), writing that she has "so much love" for the user.

Fans weren't pleased with Grande's inadequate response, and when celebrity Instagram account The Shade Room posted a screenshot of the interaction, Grande decided to write an apology in the comments.

"Hi hi," she wrote. "I think her intention was to be like… yay a white person disassociating the negative [stereotype] [sic] that is paired with the word ‘weave'… however I'm so sorry my response was out of pocket or if it came across the wrong way. Thanks for opening the conversation and like… to everyone for talking to me about it. It's never my intention to offend anybody."
