Ariana Grande Pulls Off an Epic *NSYNC Reunion at Coachella 2019

This news will have fans jamming to boy band classics all day. Ariana Grande reunited most of *NSYNC at Coachella 2019 during her April 14 performance, in which she headlined night three of the music and arts festival. To answer the one question probably swirling through fans’ minds, no, Justin Timberlake wasn’t part of the reunion, which may or may not have something to do with the singer’s busy schedule, including his Man of the Woods tour ending on April 13. That said, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass and Chris Kirkpatrick were all in attendance.

The best part about their epic reunion is Grande sang “Tearin’ Up My Heart,” the song that really put *NSYNC on the map, with Chasez, Fatone, Bass and Kirkpatrick. According to Entertainment Tonight, Grande declared on stage about being able to sing and dance a choreographed routine with the former boy band members, “I’ve been practicing my whole life for this moment.”

They were all just as thrilled as Grande. During the unforgettable moment, E! News reported that Chasez said to the crowd, “This has been a dream of ours. Thank you for sharing this with us.”

You can check out part of their epic reunion below.

Prior to Grande and *NSYNC’s performance, there was speculation that the “thank u, next” artist was going to pull off some type of reunion with the boy band at Coachella.

Fans were very much intrigued when Grande shared a video on Instagram of herself singing “Tearin’ Up My Heart’ and another video of herself as a little girl at one of their concerts. What really fueled the rumor mill was when Chasez tweeted in the late morning of April 14, “Mic check, mic check one… two… is this thing on?!?,” and she replied, “…… sure is.”

The band really is beyond thankful to Grande for giving them this major opportunity after all these years. Next to a selfie of the four singers and Grande shared by Fatone on Instagram on Sunday, he gushed, “Thanks @arianagrande for having us … was a great time and a chance to perform with my brothers once again!” Bass also posted a series of photos on Instagram that he captioned, “Well that was fun! Thank you @arianagrande for letting us play in the desert with you.”

Well now we know they weren’t just teasing fans and that Grande had every intention of reuniting as many *NSYNC members as she could — and we thank her greatly for it. Now excuse us while we go watch their reunion performance on repeat.
