When the "Just Look Up" singer was first spotted with real estate agent Dalton Gomez in February 2020, fans were surprised to learn Grande had a new man in her life. The two would spend much of 2020 quarantining together and growing their relationship.

Although the COVID-19 pandemic put many things on hold, it didn't stop Gomez's plans to propose to Grande in December 2020. Grande shared the news of her engagement on Instagram, posting a series of images that included a photo of her diamond engagement ring.

"Forever n then some," she captioned the post.

The pop star and Gomez managed to keep their relationship very quiet, with Grande only sharing a few photos of them on Instagram. Then on May 17, 2021, PEOPLE confirmed the singer secretly tied the knot with Gomez at their home in Montecito, California.

"It was tiny and intimate — less than 20 people," her rep told PEOPLE exclusively. "The room was so happy and full of love. The couple and both families couldn't be happier."

TMZ first reported Grande and an unknown man were spotted kissing at a Northridge, California, bar in February. The following month, the news outlet confirmed Grande's new man was real estate agent Dalton Gomez.

March 2020: A source confirms that Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez are dating

In March 2020, a source told PEOPLE that Grande and Gomez had been dating since January.

A second insider told PEOPLE the two were quarantined together at the singer's Los Angeles home.

"Ariana is staying at home with friends. She is very serious about self-distancing and has been with the same group of people for days," the insider said. "One of the people she is with right now is Dalton — they have been hanging out for a couple of months. May 8, 2020: Dalton Gomez appears in Ariana Grande's "Stuck with U" music video

In May, Gomez made a cameo appearance in the music video for Grande and Justin Bieber's hit duet "Stuck with U," which included clips of fans and celebrities practicing social distancing amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the video, Grande and Gomez sweetly danced, twirled and hugged as they flashed big smiles at one another.

The song was even more meaningful for Grande, as proceeds from the sales and streams of "Stuck with U" went toward grants and scholarships for children of first responders who were impacted by COVID-19 in partnership with the First Responders Children's Foundation.

June 25, 2020: Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez become Instagram official

Grande finally made her romance with Gomez Instagram official in June to celebrate her 27th birthday, sharing a gallery that featured photos and videos of her dogs, a childhood photo and a sweet image of the happy couple.

The singer raved about her now-husband back on his birthday in August.

"Hbd to my baby my best friend my fav part of all the days :) i love u," she wrote on Instagram.

December 20, 2020: Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez announce their engagement

Grande, who released her Netflix documentary Excuse Me, I Love You on Dec. 21, was showered with love from her friends and family after announcing her engagement.

"Congrats to these two amazing souls. Ari we love you and could not be happier for you. Dalton you are a lucky man," her manager Scooter Braun wrote in the comments section.
