Ariana Grande Returns to Twitter to Announce New Single Title and Release Date

The singer's mom also paid tribute to the victims.

The wait is almost over for Ariana Grande fans!

Followers of the 24-year-old singer have waited what seems like years for new music, but on Tuesday they finally received a very special treat. Grande teased fans with a cryptic tweet that seemingly announced that a single is on its way.

Written upside down, the "Side to Side" songstress wrote, "No Tears Left to Cry" and the date "4.20," which fans instantly took to mean the name of her upcoming single and its release date. Luckily, if there was any doubt, Grande's manager, Scooter Braun, confirmed the news by retweeting the singer and adding, "Friday @ArianaGrande new single. The wait is almost over."

Grande's last studio album was 2016's Dangerous Woman, though last year she released a compilation LP of her greatest hits called The Best. Her last single was "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," released in June of 2017 in support of One Love Manchester, after 22 people were killed in a bombing during her concert on May 22, 2017 at Manchester Arena.

The singer has been keeping a low profile since the tragic incident. However, she did take the stage at the March for Our Lives protest in Washington, D.C., in March where she performed "Be Alright."
