Ari Lennox has just delivered “Pressure,” a syrupy track about keeping her at the center of her lover’s attention. The video for the track has also been released.
The Dreamville artist teased the song’s release earlier this week on Twitter.

For Ari Lennox, making music is all about taking the time to feel things fully and then communicate that in a song. If those feelings aren’t there or ready to be communicated, she won’t force them. In some since-deleted tweets in July, Ari talked about how proud she is of her last studio album, Shea Butter Baby, and how if that was the last album she ever made, she would be okay.
“So until it feels right there simply won’t be no date on another project,” she wrote. “So living my life is what I’ll continue doing.”
Thankfully the music is still flowing the Dreamville artist. At the end of July, the singer headlined at the 2021 BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival and during her performance of “Shea Butter Baby,” Ari surprised fans by bringing out J. Cole.
