Ari Lennox Calls Out “Shady Pest” Tiny Harris Over Remark About Her Vocal Range

Ari Lennox aired out many of her feelings on social media this week, calling out Tameka “Tiny” Harris of Xscape for a remark made in regards to her vocal range.
“Just like Tiny, you can’t in one breath say, ‘Oh yeah she’s amazing,’ but also say I don’t have range,” Ari said during an Instagram Live session with fans. “These are backhanded compliments, so I will forever look at you like a shady pest.
“Yeah that’s what she said,” she went on. “That really hurt my feelings. Like girl, I be listening to you. Xscape is one of my favorite groups. I loved her little f**king verse on [sings ‘My Little Secret’]. And for her to come at me like I couldn’t fit in with y’all! I don’t wanna fit in with y’all!”
The Dreamville songstress went on to show love to Tiny’s group mate, Kandi Burruss, who complimented Lennox and defended her range after Harris’ remark.
“I love Kandi. She had my back. I love you Kandi, I forever will love you. Tiny hurt my feelings, but you know what, it is what it is. It’s nice to see who f**k with you and who’s cool and who’s not and I’m just in a space where its just like alright, thank you for revealing yourselves to me.”
The interview in question took place in 2022, where Kandi asserted Ari could possibly be a good fit for the group due to her range and her “distinctive sound.”

“Wait all she said was she hasn’t heard her range, yall gotta stop insulting people for their respectful opinion,” wrote one commenter, with another adding, “I legit must’ve heard/ missed something because tiny never said she DIDNT have range she said she never heard it.”
Others were in support of the “Pressure” artist, believing the remark was unnecessary and shady, especially considering her known fandom of the group.
“Ari literally looks up to all of the people before her and present. So it hurts her feelings when people try and throw shade her way.”
