Arctic Monkeys Share New Single, ‘Body Paint’
On the heels of a few headlining shows and an appearance at Primavera Sound Los Angeles, Arctic Monkeys have shared “Body Paint,” the second single from their upcoming album The Car. The track was debuted during a concert in Brooklyn, N.Y., last week.
The video was directed by Brook Linder and filmed in London and Missouri. It arrives ahead of the Oct. 21 Domino release of The Car, which has been described as “wild in a new and sumptuous musical landscape.” The Car is the follow-up to 2018’s Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino and was produced by longtime collaborator James Ford.

Last month, Arctic Monkeys gave the first taste of The Car in the form of the moody, nostalgic “There’d Better Be a Mirrorball.”
Arctic Monkeys will be playing stadiums in the U.K. and Ireland next year, with support from The Hives and the Mysterines. A nine-show run in Australia begins on Dec. 29 in Sydney.
