Arcade Fire Celebrate 15-Year Anniversary of Funeral

Arcade Fire are celebrating the 15-year anniversary of their iconic debut Funeral with archival material. Among the offerings is a remastered version of their “Rebellion (Lies)” music video. “The ‘Rebellion’ video is the first video we made as a band, filmed in the months before the release of Funeral,” the band wrote. “Our friend Josh Deu, who used to play in Arcade Fire, did the visual effects on the video. Somehow along the way the wrong version got uploaded and the official video only existed in a degraded form. We are happy that he was able to redo the hand drawn effects for this restoration. Ahead of September 14—the date that Funeral arrived in 2004—Arcade Fire plan to share previously unseen footage of rare live performances, archival photos, and new Spotify-exclusive visuals.
