Mississauga native AR Paisley pays tribute to his close friend and mentor, Sidhu Moose Wala, on his latest single “Legends Never Die.”

On the track, produced by Lazyeye, Paisley delivers heartfelt verses encompassed by a series of strings and smooth backbeats as he expresses deep agony over losing someone he held very close to his heart.

Wala was a famed Brampton-based Punjabi recording artist who was fatally shot a few months ago. His unexpected passing severely affected his loved ones and left a hole in his community.

“After facing the loss of someone very important to not only myself but our whole community, I wanted to put together something special to pay homage to his impact and legacy,” Paisley says.

“Legends Never Die” is a lyrically charged and extremely emotional salute to all of Wala’s accomplishments and the everlasting weight he carries.

The music video, which racked up over 240,000 views, is filled with never-before-seen footage of sentimental moments between Wala and Paisley on their U.S. tour. Directed and filmed by Tango and Jyothi Tatter, Wala’s impact is felt through the screen as we see members of his community come together to honour his legacy.

Paisley’s fanbase can expect a lot more to come from the Indo-Canadian rapper. The latest single arrives just before Paisley’s mixtape Pressure, which is set to release this month and marks his first tape in three years.
