Jason Momoa is uninjured after being involved in an accident Sunday with a motorcyclist on a highway near Calabasas, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The motorcyclist, identified as Vitaliy Avagimyan, was driving westbound on Old Topanga Road when he crossed over the double yellow lines and into the path of Momoa's vehicle, CHP said in a statement.

The "Aquaman" star exited his car to assist Avagimyan after the collision, flagging down a driver passing by to call for help, the report said.

Paramedics transported Avagimyan to Northridge Hospital to be treated for minor, non-life threatening injuries. The 42-year-old actor remained on scene and the exact cause of the collision is under investigation, the report added. No arrests were made.

USA TODAY has reached out to Momoa's representatives for comment.

The “Dune” actor was driving his gold 1970 Oldsmobile, which fans may recognize from his 2021 Netflix movie "Sweet Girl."

Momoa is set to star in "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom," expected in theaters March 2023.

While Momoa walked away from this collision without getting hurt, he shared in October that he sustained some injuries while working on the superhero sequel.

"I messed up my eyes, just got something in it that kind of cut it up and I got to get surgery, a hernia, I got ribs out, I'm just getting beat up," Momoa told Ellen DeGeneres during an episode of her show. "I just kind of give it, yeah. I love my job and I get a little too excited and then you know, the age thing ... I'm an aging superhero."

Director James Wan told USA TODAY in 2018 how suiting up as Aquaman was hard on the actor's body because of the hip-hugging rig and harness required to shoot scenes replicating underwater movement.

Momoa announced in January he and his wife Lisa Bonet were splitting after four years of marriage. Months later, he expressed gratitude with fans and press for respecting his family’s privacy amid their breakup.

In March, he attended the New York City premiere of “The Batman,” starring his stepdaughter Zoë Kravitz alongside “Twilight” star Robert Pattinson, with son Nakoa-Wolf, 13, and Lola, 15, whom he shares with Bonet. Momoa shared photos from the red-carpet event in an Instagram post on March 3.

“Mahalo to the fans and press for being generous and giving us space for the children it’s hard enough separating in the public eye,” Momoa captioned the post. “We appreciate the continued privacy through these times.”
