With Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom finally set to hit theaters in December, Warner Bros. has released a new trailer that sees Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) adjusting to the weight of the crown of King of Atlantis. Watch it below.

As seen in the clip, Aquaman has embraced fatherhood, but must balance those duties with being King of Atlantis. When Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) re-emerges, Aquaman has to team up with his estranged brother Orm (Patrick Wilson) to protect Atlantis and the entire world beyond it.

“Having failed to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta, still driven by the need to avenge his father’s death, will stop at nothing to take Aquaman down once and for all,” reads the official logline. “This time Black Manta is more formidable than ever before, wielding the power of the mythic Black Trident, which unleashes an ancient and malevolent force. To defeat him, Aquaman will turn to his imprisoned brother Orm, the former King of Atlantis, to forge an unlikely alliance. Together, they must set aside their differences in order to protect their kingdom and save Aquaman’s family, and the world, from irreversible destruction.”

The cast of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom also features Amber Heard as Queen Mera, Nicole Kidman as Aquaman’s mother Atlanna, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, Randall Park as Dr. Stephen Shin, and Temuera Morrison as Aquaman’s (human) father Tom.

After multiple delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and cost-cutting measuresAquaman and the Lost Kingdom splashes into theaters on December 20th.
