Apple Martin Is Mom Gwyneth Paltrow's Twin in Rare Birthday Selfie: See Them Both at Age 20

The actress shared a sweet Instagram tribute for her daughter's 20th birthday — and one photo is making us do a double-take!

Gwyneth Paltrow is celebrating daughter Apple Martin’s 20th birthday with some sweet snapshots.

To celebrate the occasion this year, the Goop founder, 51, posted an Instagram tribute in honor of her oldest, who entered her twenties on May 14.

And there was one throwback in particular that's making us do a double-take.

In a rare selfie included in the post, a fresh faced Apple looks so much like her mom when she was 20 years old and starring in Cruel Doubt as Angela Pritchard. (Talk about some strong genes!)

Paltrow also shared two baby pictures of her daughter, one of which shows her cuddling Apple and the other a candid shot of her toddler in a stylish purple beret and striped shirt.

“How can it be that you are 20 today? It feels surreal! You are the most extraordinary, the most hilarious, the most brilliant.. I love your WWII insights as much as I love your physical comedy. You are the most fun to be with and you have always been. From those days when it was always you and me to now, you are my lil ride or die. You are everything to me and I am so proud of you. Have the best day, my peanut,” the Iron Man actress captioned the adorable post.

“You are the best mama a girl could ask for. I am so lucky the universe gave me to you,” Apple wrote in the comments.

Paltrow's A-list friends Kate Hudson and Reese Witherspoon left congratulatory messages too.

Paltrow shares Apple with ex-husband Chris Martin. The exes also share 18-year-old son Moses.

The pair keep their kids' lives out of the spotlight. But as they’ve gotten older, the siblings have made a few public appearances here and there, either by themselves or with their mom by their side.

Apple made her fashion debut at a Chanel fashion show during Paris Fashion Week in January 2023. Clearly taking after her mom’s fashionista traits (Paltrow recently revealed that her daughter loves to shop her archived wardrobe), she wore a preppy plaid skirt and cardigan.

On May 10, both Apple and Moses were Paltrow's dates for a Goop event also attended by Oprah Winfrey. The two dressed to impress in business casual dinner looks with Apple in a suit and Moses in a sweater and khaki pants.

"A few of my favorite things…Montecito, dinner al fresco, and quality time with friends and family. Oh and being in bed by 9PM," Paltrow captioned an Instagram photo of all three of them with the talk show host.
