Apple Black Friday Deals Include iPhone, Apple TV, iPad, Watch Rebates

Apple’s long love-hate relationship with Black Friday continues with a bunch of deals that involve — surprise — full-priced items: Instead of reducing the sticker price, Apple decided to give consumers gift cards as rebates.

That’s a bit disappointing, especially considering that you’d still have to pay taxes on the full price. Then again, it’s better than last year, when Apple decided to skip Black Friday altogether.

In any case, here are some of the deals Apple listed on the Black Friday section of its website:

  • Rebates on iPhones: The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6S Plus ($549 / $649 and up unlocked) come with a $50 gift card. The iPhone SE ($399 and up unlocked) gets you a $25 gift card.

  • Rebates on iPads: iPad Pro models ($599 and up) come with a $100 gift card. iPad Air and iPad mini purchases ($399 and up) will get you a $50 gift card.

  • Apple TV rebate: Consumers who buy an Apple TV ($149 and up) get a $25 gift card.

  • Apple Watch rebate: Apple is giving buyers of the Apple Watch 1 a $25 gift card.

Apple’s site also lists rebate deals for select Macbooks and desktop computers. However, it’s worth pointing out that the company isn’t having any deals for its new flagship phone, the iPhone 7.

It’s also worth noting that you may be able to get better deals on some of those products elsewhere. Target, for example, is selling select Apple Watch 1 models for $199 on Black Friday. For a more complete list of deals, also check out our Black Friday deals guide.
