The Apothecary Diaries Episode 13: Will Maomao Join the Imperial Palace?
People who like The Apothecary Diaries are excited for Episode 13 to be aired soon. It will start the second part of the story, called a cour. After the events of the last episode, fans will see big changes. Especially with Maomao getting involved in the Imperial Palace stuff.
As the last episode ended with Maomao at a crossroads, Episode 13 promises to show her starting work officially in the palace staff. The new episode coming up is expected to bring in Lakan, an important person very close to Maomao.

The Apothecary Diaries episode 12 recap
In the earlier story, a series of things happened. It started with Jinshi coming to Hanamachi and bringing lots of gold plus one special plant for healing called Maomao’s medicine. What happened after Fengmin was discovered as Lady Lishuu’s poisoner became the main part of Episode 12. This prepared Maomao for what would come next at the Imperial Palace.

Fengmin’s bad deed caused big problems, with many people being fired because they knew her. Maomao got caught up in this problem because she was with Fengmin’s family when they kidnapped her. With the risk of being sacked, Maomao asked Jinshi not to fire her.
Even in tough times, Jinshi gave Maomao a big payment when she left her job. This helped get her back into Hanamachi again. Maomao and her sisters went to a fancy person’s meeting as an escort. They met someone unhappy named Jinshi there. Jinshi and Maomao from the brothel ended up with an unexpected offer for each other.
