'Good Wife' ratings slip for finale; 'Once Upon' rules

CBS’ The Good Wife closed out its third season Sunday night, while ABC’s freshman fantasy Once Upon a Time ranked as the evening’s highest-rated show.

Here’s some Sunday highlights: The Good Wife (9.8 million viewers, 1.7 preliminary adults 18-49 rating) slipped 11 percent for its final episode of the season (here’s our post-finale interview with the producers). Good Wife is already renewed for a fourth season, but we expect the acclaimed drama will either move to 10 p.m. on Sundays or shift to Fridays in the fall. Speaking of 10 p.m., CBS’ new police drama NYC 22 (7.6 million, 1.2) fell 14 percent to rank last in the hour.

ABC’s Once Upon (9.1 million, 2.9) was nearly steady, followed by Desperate Housewives (8.1 million, 2.5) and GCB (5.7 million, 1.9). NBC’s Harry’s Law (7.4 million, 0.9) was stable while Celebrity Apprentice (6.3 million, 1.9) dipped a tad. Fox’s comedy block averaged 4.6 million and a 2.2 rating from 8-10 p.m.
