In early May, Stafford and Watros both posted a photo together on the General Hospital set.

"Just 2 actors talkin about acting today," Stafford wrote on Twitter, along with the hashtag "#Nina."

Stafford originated the role of Nina on General Hospital in 2014. News of Stafford's departure surfaced in April. She vacates the part to return to The Young and the Restless as Phyllis Sommers, the role she played for 16 years.

General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC (check your local listings).
