"Dancing With the Stars" front-runner Lindsey Stirling's future on the ABC dance competition is in jeopardy after the star suffered a devastating rib injury on Sunday.

TMZ reported on Monday that Stirling was "badly hurt" after her attempt at a "rapid dance move" went horribly wrong before she was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

Sources told the outlet that "the pain's so immense it could force her to bow out of Monday's show."

"I'm gonna be so mad if I've blown it," Stirling says through tears in footage obtained by TMZ. "We've worked so hard."

When she asks her partner Mark Ballas what happens if she can't perform on Monday night's episode of "Dancing With the Stars," Stirling is told that she'll have to forfeit.

As per the show's rules, celebrities must compete each week to remain in the competition -- though, if their pro partners aren't able to dance in a given week, they're replaced by temporary substitute pros.

Stirling has been a front-runner during the show's current 25th season. Last week, Stirling and Ballas received a perfect score for their performance.
