'Dancing with the Stars': Derek Hough and Bindi Irwin land the 'Dirty Dancing' lift

Jennifer Grey recently admitted doesn’t understand why any couple would have “the guts” to try to re-create that Dirty Dancing lift, but Dancing with the Stars pro Derek Hough and his partner Bindi Irwin seem to have it down.

Hough shared an Instagram photo (below) of he and partner Irwin recreating the scene in the water. “What an honor to pay homage to this iconic dance film. ‘Nobody puts Bindi in the corner,’ ” he writes.

But that’s not all: According to Hough, Grey herself is actually stopped by DWTS rehearsals to help out.

Earlier this week, Grey, 51, said she has no plans to ever try to land that move again. “Watch it over and over again but never ask me to do it again because I’m too f–king old,” Grey said. “I have a family and I want to live longer.”

Hough and Irwin have made it to the final 9. Catch their next DWTS performance Monday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
