In the first two minutes of the series premiere, the former first daughter, who made headlines for cocaine possession, decides to make a pivotal deal with the drama’s proverbial devil: her rival, Conner Wallace (Eddie Cahill). Conner has a job offer in mind that’ll free her and keep her away from tabloid coverage, one that makes her the leader of a team of lawyers investigating possible wrongful incarcerations.
